GRATITUDE

WHAT IF YOU GAVE SOMEONE A GIFT, AND THEY NEGLECTED TO THANK YOU FOR IT-WOULD YOU BE LIKELY TO GIVE THAT PERSON A GIFT AGAIN?

I Personally would think it would depend on what the occasion is and why I was giving this person a gift in the first place. Yes most of the time it’s just nice to thank someone for a gift, or even just mutual respect or gratitude for the thought but what if you were giving the gift because you wanted to or because of the way it made you feel to give the gift …does that automatically make the other person obligated to say thank you, I would think no..again it resorts back to the gratitude and mutual respect thing. So in my case I would have to say yes I probably would give the person another gift. What are your thoughts, would you give the person another gift?

  1. Yes. When we give, it is from us. We choose to give, and if we choose to give unconditionally, the there’s no hurt because there’s no expectations. Maybe they need something that only we can give. Deep down, I think most people have the appreciation but they do not always know how to show it too. We just never know, unless we stand in their shoes.

  2. YES I AGREE AND I BELIEVE GIVING UNCONDITIONALLY IS THE BEST KIND BECAUSE THEN IT COMES FROM THE HEART AND YOU DON’T EXPECT ANYTHING IN RETURN. THERE IS NO UNDERLYING REASON FOR THE GIVING, IT IS A TYPE OF SELF SACRIFICE.
